#emojirunnergirl

 In Uncategorized

Following my quirky though unexpectedly popular foray into Emoji-feminism last fall, runner/designer Sarah Fitzpatrick Clancy asked if I’d like to team up and display the runner-girl on some sweet gear. In the spirit of encouraging girls in sport we decided to donate proceeds to a youth sports program.  My husband and I have been working closely with New England Distance and after hearing how positive the feedback was from the local RI middle school kids about their new favorite sports of track/xc and how much they loved their pro-athlete coaches, we agreed to send 25% of emoji-girl related sales to the group to support the youth programs for next season!

You can grab a shirt or mug and check out the other fab items at Sarahmariedesignstudio.com and on Róisín McGettigan-Dumas’ site believejournals.com

Dear Molly, You are a most remarkable run performer. Appreciate that you share your thoughts in the blog. Shows the perfectionist attitude in you that makes you so outstanding in performance as you are. – One thought I want to communicate to you: that “51.5 weeks ago” event which you refer to in your redemption blog, in my opinion it gave you a thrust. I think every performer in every profession has this kind of event and works to shake it off, but it will not go away really. But this makes good people stronger. Embrace with mental generosity these odd moments and file them in a shelf. They were only a stepstone on your further way to success. All this makes you, the hard working professional, only more likable a person. – Enjoy winter and the year-end and celebrate your successes well with husband, friends, family. Best, Andreas (an amateur runner, great fan and professional in a different business)

    Molly:

Thanks for your time and the great interview. My next move is to buy one of your coffee cups – memorializing the “big three” of every morning…

Have a great holiday. And best of luck to you in the coming year.

    Best regards. Dave
